Rob Douglas grew up on the beaches of the Gold Coast. After leaving school he studied at university focusing on business and marketing but worked full time in the motor vehicle finance industry. After a few years he made the move to Brisbane to commence working for Adenbrook Homes in the Finance arm of the building company. Rob focused on the financing of house and land packages to first, second and third home buyers. Learning valuable skills put him in line to take on a senior sales role with Adenbrook in their new Gold Coast business in 2003. Rob joined the Adenbrook Gold Coast owner to start what is known today as one of the leading building companies on the Gold Coast. With experience in commencing an Adenbrook Homes building business from scratch the opportunity rose for the sunshine coast.
Rob teamed up with his brother Bill and they commenced building their first two display homes at Lake Kawana which opened on Australia Day 2007. Through Rob’s vision and understanding of the housing market he delivered two display homes which have won in excess of seven major housing awards and have sold around 82 new homes in the first year of operation on the Sunshine Coast. Rob’s ability to listen and understand what the Sunshine Coast new home buyer wants and deliver on it embodies the essence of Adenbrook Homes – Quality, value, local builder.
Rob and Bill’s businesses now turn over in excess of thirty million dollars annually, employ 30 full time staff and have a trade base of around 120 sub contractors.
Rob and Bill are now known as Adenbrook Homes Sunshine Coast and one of the major players in the Sunshine Coast building industry.
