Sami is born and bred on the Sunshine Coast and on a daily basis kicks herself she didn’t buy more properties before the ‘boom’ when her dream River house cost two hundred thousand dollars! It is now well over a million dollars just 15 years down the track! Sami bought her first property 7 years ago that is still burning a giant hole in her weekly pay! Sami has always had a keen interest in real estate and reading the property section is her favourite past time…as well as day dreaming about one day owning that dam river house!

3 tips for buying a home
I love that saying – buying a house isn’t investing in a house is investing in time not the actual block of dirt.
Location, Location, Location.
Look for good bones – paint is a beautiful friend to have!
A big flat backyard is a great bonus when it comes to selling.


Aside from the Sunshine Coast, if you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I have lived in Vancouver and it was beautiful but as corny as it sounds nowhere beats the Coast.
Okay I could give Paris a whirl for a few months and live on love and croissants!

Acreage or City Living?
Sea and salt air!

House or Apartment?
Space of a house but the carefree lifestyle of an apartment – taking out the bins and mowing lawns is so over rated!

Favourite room in a house and why?
Bedroom – it’s all about peace and time for yourself


Backyard with lots of gardening or courtyard with very little?
Backyard for the dogs but courtyard for no work needed! Gee I am split on a lot of things hey!


Carpet, Floorboard or Tiles?
Tiles – no care!
Polished floors are stunning however!

Favourite suburb on the coast?
Buddina, Buderim, Dicky and Sunshine!


What the best/most inspiring home buying/real estate story you've heard.
A local lady who owns 85 properties – I love all these stories – can’t get enough of them.


Pets inside or out?
Inside! I know this is very politically incorrect but hey dogs are people!

What's the best thing you can do to 'improve' a house?
White paint and knock down walls
